Sun rise

Sunrise was an image for the "Tell it with flowers"-contest of www.am-user.de. It ended up at the 3rd place.

It has been created around 2004. Today, am-user.de is no longer present and has been replaced by PatchWork3d. (although I never hosted am-user.de and am not the autor of it)

The whole grass till the horizont is geometry. It is based on 3 modells, which have been placed all over the place with smaller adjustments to each. A model had about 1.250 patches and has been used about 40 times in the scene. For today that is not too much, but back then this was near to epic. (especially if you think about how many polygones that would have meant...)
