Sailfish OS: Shake Torch
An app that sounds really good then showed me after a few days that it also has its downsides.
It’s about Shake Torch. This is a Sailfish OS app that turns on the camera light when you shake the phone.
This works not bad at all (you can see it well in this video here):

Only... it works "always". So, for example, even if you are in a hurry and have the phone in your pocket, or you walk with the smartphone in hand and PureMaps / the navigator through the city. And suddenly the light comes on. That doesn’t particularly help the power consumption, but it is also a considerable helper for unconscious flirting attempts, for example. ;)
It gets especially stupid when you had your smartphone in your backpack or pocket and you realize: The light is on! What do I have to do?
Theoretically, this only happens when the smartphone still has the screen on, but in the heat of the moment, it can happen that you might even have locked the smartphone, but then put it in your pocket and start walking.
The light is on, the cell phone goes off at some point, but the flashlight does not.
So at some point, you take the warm smartphone out of your pocket and wonder where the few % of battery have disappeared to.
Everything is not a disaster, but for the 5x that you can use the feature times per year, it is not worth it to me.
Unfortunately, there are no additional setting options so far (e.g. required "shaking strength", combination triggering with pressing a button and shaking or similar).
Until then, I have removed the app again. It does what it is supposed to do and is really not bad, but it does have a few negative effects in practice.
Who wants to try them anyway:
